foreUS Inaugural Year Opening Event The foreUS Women's Golf Tour kicked off their Inaugural Season with their first ever event in Palm Springs, CA on March 25, 2007. Golfers from Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas and California participated in the Inaugural Event. Participants played at the luxurious Doral Desert Princess Resort enjoying the 80 degree weather and incredible mountain scenic views.  The players played the Cielo/Vista course with a slope rating of 124 and found it to be as challenging as it was beautiful. The entire group mingled for drinks and comraderie afterwards and all agreed they would be playing in future events on the Tour. Many of the participants were in town for the Dinah Week activities and found ways to meet up later in the week - all of which is exactly what we have set out to accomplish - playing competitive golf in a social setting! ForeUS Women's Golf Tour appreciates the support of this group of women and we look forward to seeing them all again in future events, while meeting many more participants as well. The ForeUS Tournament was a great way to kick off THE lesbian party of the year. Call it a rite of passage, but you have to attend at least ONE Dinah Shore Weekend event to receive your Lesbian Card! Generally speaking, once you do, you will want to attend again.   The low round of the day was turned in by local Palm Spring resident Tina Rimer, shooting a nice 12 over par, 84 for the day.     |
